HEAD CHEF + PROPRIETOR

JONATHAN MONTEBELLO has been head chef for many years at several top restaurants and pubs in both Australia and Malta. 

Born in Malta, and trained in the UK,  Jonathan worked in Malta before he moved to Australia in 2012.

 

Jonathan's unique culinary style draws inspiration from his Maltese and Italian heritage, personal experiences, and professional experience across several cultures and cuisines.

 

Jonathan says, "Entertaining and being social are my forte - this is when I'm at my creative best. Cooking for work is a passion but cooking for your family and friends is more than that. It does come from a deeper place.

 

This was the inspiration behind my idea to start a catering company - the love of sharing my food. It’s doing what I love the most - creating a delicious and diverse party table. Bringing the Maltese and Italian traditions, culture and food together, and serving it to our customers here in Perth."

Jonathan is currently authoring his first cook book, which will be published in 2021, and then sold here at montebellocatering.com!

DAVID WANG has been a chef for 15 years, and during that time has worked in restaurants in Australia, China and Ireland!

David has a great eye for detail and
